Brooding stage
Maintaining a suitable temperature: When chicks are just hatched, their ability to regulate their body temperature is weak and they need a warm environment to maintain their growth. This heating lamp can be installed in the appropriate position of the brooding room, such as above the brooding cage or in the corner of the brooding room, to provide a stable heat source for the chicks. For example, for newly hatched chicks, the ambient temperature needs to be maintained at around 32-35℃ in the first week. The heating lamp can effectively maintain the temperature of the brooding area within this suitable range to promote the healthy growth of the chicks.
Temperature zoning control: Chicks in different areas of the brooding room may feel different temperatures due to factors such as the distance from the heat source. By reasonably arranging the position and angle of the heating lamp, a temperature gradient can be formed in the brooding room, allowing the chicks to choose the appropriate temperature zone according to their needs. For example, the temperature in the area closer to the heating lamp is slightly higher, which is suitable for the young birds to rest and digest after eating; the temperature in the area farther away is slightly lower, which is suitable for the young birds to move around.
Poultry farming
Winter warmth: In the cold winter, adult birds also need appropriate warming measures to maintain normal growth and egg-laying performance. The heating lamp can be installed in the poultry house as a supplementary heat source to prevent the temperature in the poultry house from being too low. For example, in the winter in the north, when the outside temperature is low, the use of heating lamps can increase the temperature in the poultry house and reduce the excessive energy consumed by the birds to maintain body temperature due to the cold, thereby improving feed conversion rate and increasing egg production or the growth rate of meat poultry.
Dealing with sudden cooling weather: When encountering sudden cooling weather, the heating lamp can be turned on quickly to provide emergency warmth protection for the poultry. Especially for some poultry species that are more sensitive to temperature, such as quail, timely use of heating lamps can avoid poultry stress reactions caused by sudden temperature drops, such as decreased egg production and reduced immunity.
