Heating and drying function
In industrial and laboratory environments, halogen heating lamps can be used to dry wet objects or materials. For example, in chemical laboratories, when some glass instruments that are not very sensitive to temperature need to be dried quickly, halogen heating lamps can provide efficient heat, and quickly evaporate the moisture on the surface of the instrument through thermal radiation. The principle is that the infrared radiation emitted by the lamp can be absorbed by water molecules. After the water molecules gain energy, their movement intensifies, and they break away from the surface of the object to achieve the purpose of drying.
In the food processing industry, halogen heating lamps can be used to dry some food raw materials. For example, in the process of making dried fruits, it can accelerate the evaporation of water in fruits, and compared with traditional heating methods, halogen heating lamps can achieve higher drying efficiency in a relatively short time. At the same time, the intensity and time of heating can be flexibly adjusted according to needs to better retain the nutrients and flavor of fruits.
Heat processing and heat treatment
In the manufacturing industry, halogen heating lamps are used for heat processing. For example, in the process of plastic molding, it can provide heat for plastic materials to soften the plastic, which is convenient for molding operations such as injection molding and extrusion. When the halogen heating lamp is irradiated on plastic particles or sheets, the plastic absorbs heat and the forces between its molecular chains are weakened, making it easier to process.
Halogen heating lamps are also useful for the heat treatment of metal materials. For example, in the annealing of some small metal parts, the heat provided by the halogen heating lamp can release the stress inside the metal parts. During the annealing process, the metal slowly heats up under the heating lamp, and the metal atoms obtain enough energy to rearrange, thereby improving the properties of the metal, such as reducing hardness and improving toughness.
Assisting chemical reactions
In chemical experiments and chemical production, many reactions require heating to provide the activation energy required for the reaction. Halogen heating lamps can be used as a heating source to initiate or accelerate chemical reactions. For example, in organic synthesis reactions, some reactions involving halogenation reactions or reactions that require a high temperature environment, such as the halogenation reaction of benzene, can be carried out smoothly by using halogen heating lamps to provide heat after adding halogens and catalysts. It can accurately control the reaction temperature, so that the reaction can be carried out within a suitable temperature range, reduce the occurrence of side reactions, and improve the selectivity and yield of the reaction.
