In some printing processes that involve heat – sensitive substrates like thermoplastics or heat – shrink films, the U – shaped carbon fiber infrared heating lamp can be used to pre – heat the substrate to the right temperature. This pre – heating step ensures better ink absorption and adhesion, as well as proper deformation of the heat – shrink film during subsequent processes such as shrink – wrapping of printed products. It also helps to reduce the risk of substrate damage due to sudden temperature changes during printing.
