The 220V – 1000W U – shaped carbon fiber infrared heating lamp for printing machines (Goldisgood brand) has several applications: 1. Ink Drying
  • In offset printing, after the ink is transferred onto the paper, the U – shaped carbon fiber infrared heating lamp can be used to quickly dry the ink. The infrared radiation penetrates the ink layer and accelerates the evaporation of solvents in the ink. This helps to prevent ink smudging and allows for faster production speeds as the printed sheets can be handled and further processed more quickly.
  • For digital printing using UV – curable inks, the lamp can also play a role. Although UV inks are cured through a different mechanism (by UV light – induced polymerization), infrared heating can pre – heat the substrate (such as plastic or vinyl materials) to the appropriate temperature range. This can enhance the adhesion of the ink and improve the overall curing quality and durability of the printed image.
2. Coating Drying
  • When applying protective coatings such as varnishes or laminates to printed materials, the infrared heating lamp is very useful. The U – shaped design allows for even coverage of the coating area. The 1000W power provides sufficient energy to dry water – based or solvent – based coatings rapidly. For example, in the case of a glossy or matte finish coating on a brochure or a packaging material, the lamp helps to achieve a smooth and uniform finish by quickly evaporating the solvents and hardening the coating.
